Below are the true details of the HCG diet program and why it works, how it accomplishes the amazing fat loss results that are said to be impossible and why these particular foods have been chosen. See the video for my explanation and read below for more information.

Water:

Drink 2-3 liters of water per day (preferably 3 or more, a good indicator is 1/2 your body weight in ounces; 150lbs = 75 ounces of water, almost 2.5 liters)

Vegetables:

Spinach
Chard
Chicory
Beet-Greens
Green Salad - Lettuce (green leaf is best)
Celery
Fennel
Red Radishes
Cucumbers
Asparagus
Cabbage
Tomato
Alfalfa Sprouts 
Bell Peppers
Zucchini

Fruit:

Apple (small) 
Apple (medium)
Apple (large)
Navel Orange 
Strawberries 12 (large)

Protein:

All portions are 100 grams or 3.5 ounces
*Important note: All visible fat and skin must be carefully removed before cooking, and the newest addition is meat can now be weighed cooked, though it must be boiled or grilled without additional fat.

Free Foods:

Miracle Noodles – No calories, no fat, no sugar, no gluten, no soy – only vegetable fiber
Organic Low Sodium Chicken, Vegetable and Beef Broth (make sure no sugars)
Sugar Free Jello – no calories, no sugar, no fat
Flavor Enhancers – Braggs Liquid Aminos and Stevia (multi-flavor - packs available)
The juice of one lemon is allowed per day (we have seen many use lemon all day in any quantity without hindering weight loss, but that is your own discretion)
Salt (use Sea Salt), pepper, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar
(not balsamic though), mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram and the list below (under spices) can be used for seasoning.
DO NOT use oil, oil spray, butter, mayonnaise or any other dressings at all.

Why these particular foods?

Hydration and alkalinity:

  • Your body will not release weight/fat without being hydrated.
  • Estimated that nearly 70% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, nearly 60% of them are clinically obese.
  • Acid in your system caused by high-stress lifestyles, high acid diets (breads, pastas, potatoes, grains, sugars, sodas, alcohol), and not enough alkaline vegetables will dehydrate you. Your body uses the water to help neutralize the acid.


Critical pH balance:

  • Our body must maintain a slightly alkaline pH for life and to maintain health.
    • This is as important as your body maintaining it's necessary temperarture of 98.6 degrees.
  • If your blood pH is not in it's optimal range near 7.36 (7.32-7.4), you die, literally. Your organs shut down and your body simply dies.
  • All variations away from that 7.36 causes illness (cold, flu, viruses, aches and pains) and chronic diseases (obesity, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, even cancer).

*Food Combining:

  • Fewer foods provides the simplest load on the digestive system
  • Proper digestion is important for weight loss
  • Poor food combinations create acidity and use unnecessary resources in the body including water and energy to digest the foods and alkaline reserves to neutralize the acidity
  • Eat your fruits separate from your meals (not within an hour) to accelerate your results
  • Only eat animal proteins with your vegetables and do not include the available starches in your diet


Vegetables:

  • Highly alkaline, easily digest and easily assimilated in the body
  • High in water content, most are over 90% water
  • Added hydration – necessary for weight loss
  • Protein – some of the vegetables are an excellent source of protein (spinach is 49% protein, asparagus is 25%, fennel is 28%)
  • Great source of the necessary vitamins and minerals needed for optimal health
  • Full of clean and healthy carbohydrates – increased and better sustained energy


Animal Protein:

  • Mainly lean meats
  • Choose to eat mainly Fish, chicken and turkey


Starches:

  • Best suggestion is to refrain from starches for the diet and after
  • Low in fat

  • No added oils


Fruits:

  • Immediate energy
  • Low acidic ash (for fruits)
  • Oranges and Grapefruit while acidic in nature leave an alkaline ash in the body
